Torbjörn Gunnersand, Bengt Dahlgren, worked as an environmental coordinator in Riksbyggens first project to be preliminary certified according to Miljöbyggnads new manual 3.0. Bengt Dahlgren also did calculations for energy, indoor climate and daylight.
Our roll as environmental coordinator continued throughout the project. By certifying according to Miljöbyggnad, you make sure the houses are built energy effecient, with a good indoor climate and good materials. For example, in some of the rooms, there are sun protection glas installed to avoid to high a temperature during summer. For some rooms, larger windows are installed to make sure enough daylight gets in. In both design and building, building physics were very important to avoid moisture damage in the future.
The project is named Brf Idrottsplatsen and is located in Höganäs. It consists of two almost identical apartment buildings which were co-certified with the grade Silver. It is also a so called “Bonum Project” which means it targets residents over the age of 55.
The houses are in a very nice part of town, just a couple of hundred metres from the ocean. Riksbyggen are planning to build tre brick houses with four, five and six floors. These new developments are light, comfortable and with a generous ceiling height of 2,7 metres. All apartments have either a glass balcony or an outdoor patio. The penthouses have their own terraces with lovely afternoon sunlight.
